Why we exist
A cross-border payment passes through several institutions and several sets of rules. Today each of them keeps its own evidence, assembled after the fact. We think the evidence should exist before the money moves, be the same for everyone on the route, and stay checkable for as long as anyone needs it.
Where we are
Xattestation is a company under incorporation in India, founded by Rizwan Khan. The system is built and tested; the next step is supervised testing with partner institutions, during which nothing touches a bank’s live systems, customer data or funds. In production it is designed to run on its own systems in each jurisdiction, under local law and local supervision.
Founder
Xattestation was founded by Rizwan Khan, who leads the company from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, India. You can write to him directly at founder@xattestation.com.
Our name
Pronounced “X-attestation”: the letter X, then attestation. Attestation comes from the Latin attestari, to bear witness. The X marks the moment the witness is made: after the instruction is formed, before the money moves.
